In a series of my new artworks, I do find myself …“in a search of imperfection”. It makes me emotionally close to Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics, with its simplicity, roughness and modesty. Nothing needs to be fixed! No more technological polish, silicon, or visual clarity! Only imperfect glazes, gentle flaws, asymmetry, and uneven lines. Practicing imperfection in art helped me realized that things are the most beautiful when they are unfinished or begin to fade. Like never before, now I sense serenity in aging when scars become signs of experience, rust and patina become a new elegance…
